To master each candle, cander employs the savoir-faire of a prestigious heritage French candle factory in Normandy, France, established in 1643. The heritage of the factory, dating back more than 300 years, was the Royal Wax Manufacturer for the Royal Court of France, under King Louis XIV. Today, they manufacture for very select French luxury brands.

 

The factory was awarded a “Living Heritage Company” (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label by the French government, selectively awarded following a rigorous checklist. The manufacturer joins companies like Chaumet and Hermès who have been awarded this prestigious EPV label.
